Objective
Vancouver Hotel Destination Association, consisting of Vancouver hoteliers, recognize the need for substantial, predictable and sustainable funding for Destination Marketing. Consequently, the VHDA has implemented, as of June 1, 2008, a 1.5% Destination Marketing Fee.

Management Committee
There are eight members of the management committee. One member is elected from each of four different hotel sectors. Each hotel sector will vote within the defined sector for its representative. There will be one vote per participating hotel. In order for a sector to be represented on the management committee, 50% of the eligible hotels within that sector must participate in the DMF. There will also be one Marketing & Convention Committee appointee (non voting), two VHDA Board appointees, and one Director at large to appointed (participating member of the DMF).
